Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491) Pathways 1 and 3 are now closed, as the allocation for this program year has been reached due to high demand.

As a result, the application portal has been closed. No new applications can be submitted under these pathways.

If you have already lodged an application, it will continue to be processed. You do not need to take any further action at this time.

Due to the high volume of applications for subclass 491 pathways 1 and 3, the processing time will be longer than the previously estimated six weeks, so keep patience during this period.

You can request an expedited assessment within ten working days if :-

1) Your or your partner’s current visa is about to expire.

2) Your or your partner’s English skill assessment or passport is about to expire.

3) You will lose points for age, and this will reduce your total points below the minimum required for the visa.
